On January 25, 1997, Mons. Giuseppe Casale, Archbishop of Foggia, recognized the religious community "Mary. Star of Evangelization," founded by Father Antonio Saraceno, RIP, parish priest of Panni since 1995.
Father Antonio made rules of life for the community with three specific purposes which are:
After the passing of Fr. Antonio, the Community remains a community of brothers in Jesus, committed to living mutual love unreservedly, to be of one heart and one soul. Always ready to bring the Gospel of salvation to everyone, giving priority above all to the young.
Their life is marked by intimacy with Jesus and unlimited consecration to Mary Immaculate.

Fr. Antonio Saraceno, CMSE, RIP
April 08, 1946 - October 2, 2023
Padre Antonio was a holy man of God who gave his life for the Church. Since he was a little boy, he only wanted to serve God. At first, he felt a great desire to pray, so much so that his favorite play was to pray. He had two great loves, our Lady and the Eucharist.
Later, he entered the seminary, felt called to religious life, and was ordained in 1973. He worked as a priest in Panni until 1995, when, after long prayers and reflections, he felt that the Lord was calling him to something new. He wanted him to form a new community and bring a message of profound interior evangelization. He dreamed of a community of brothers in Jesus, committed to living mutual love unreservedly, to be of one heart and one soul. His dream was a community always ready to bring the Gospel of salvation to everyone, giving priority above all to the young.
St. Gerard Majella Parish mourn the loss of Padre Antonio. Together as a Parish we tell him these words:
"Dear Padre Antonio, you fulfilled your dream, you serve God well. We will miss you very much, but we know you will guide us even more closely from heaven. Dear Father, rest in peace, and may eternal light shine upon you. United forever."
